All Things Baby
Teething, crawling, baby food, oh my! Wow! Time is flying and I can't hold on the moments tight enough! One minute, my baby is picking his head up, now he's getting up on all 4's and attempting to crawl! How crazy! I don't know if I can help it. So here is my update to what Hudson has been up to, and how we've been dealing with everything.
Teething has been relatively smooth other than a few days lol. My mom would read this and roll her eyes and go "...oooookay." But there way one night in particular that was just hell. Oh gosh. I hadn't slept a ton for the few days before this night and Hudson was in such bad pain that he just would not stop crying. I gave him everything I could think of to help, but nothing helped. I felt like I was going insane. I've learned that I reaaaally need my sleep. And having none of it was just about to push me over the edge. But once you push through just the few days it will get SOOOO much better! But after that there will be just a few more times where them pushing through more will be hard for them. I did use some of the frozen bags of breastmilk to help soothe his teeth.
Hudson loooooves baby food! Gosh he does. He sits and screams as I feed him because he just wants the next bite as soon as possible! He makes us laugh. He also gets so excited that his arms kind of fling around. He loves his fruits like most baby's but he still loves veggies luckily. Like green beans, peas, and carrots. He's still good with it all. But what I've been doing is introducing the Rice Rusks. I've got some veggie ones that I tried before. But when he doesn't like a food he will make a face then get almost like the shivers lol. It's so funny. I gave him a strawberry flavored Rice Rusk today and he ate it all by himself. Hello self feeding! I was a little emotional seeing him hold the Rice Rusk and eat then a few minutes later and it being gone!
Crawling?! Hudson is so close to crawling! For the last few weeks Hudson has been getting on all 4's and bouncing which is a huge sign that he is ready to crawl! He loves being on all 4's! But he will sometimes just fling himself forward when he's on all 4's lol. He loves scooting around though. He also will just move around on his belly. He rolls over all over the place to just grab at anything!
My little Huddie is 7 months old and I just feel so sad that he's so big. I can't wait to have my next one so I can relive all these amazing times and moments. I hope everyone can have such an amazing experience as I've had with Hudson. The only truly hard part I'm having is the bond I've grown through breastfeeding. As you can imagine, Hudson doesn't need to nurse as much. And it kind of breaks my heart because breastfeeding has been my favorite part of motherhood. Cherish your little ones. I want to enjoy my moments even more so I can look back and remember to just be grateful.
